Court of Appeal – Victory: 20 August 2018 Collier v Country Women’s Association of NSW [2018] NSWCA 184

On 20 August 2018, the New South Wales Court of Appeal delivered judgment in favour of the Country Women’s Association of New South Wales (CWA) regarding the competency of the appeal in defamation and equity proceedings.

Sue Chrysanthou and Barry Dean were successful in having the appeal dismissed with costs, having also appeared for the CWA to successfully defend the proceedings at trial in 2017.
