Parkin successfully defends application to cross-vest tort proceedings between spouses into family jurisdiction

The Supreme Court of NSW today ruled that it was not “more appropriate” that proceedings involving allegations of violence between spouses be heard by the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA), rather than the District Court of New South Wales.

Garling J dismissed the application with costs.

Christopher Parkin appeared for the successful defendant to the application.
