Parkin exposes inadequate departmental search in FriendlyJordies GIPA review

Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW).

Christopher Parkin (leading Sophie Yates and instructed by XD Law) acted for Mr Langker.

By his cross-examination of the Department’s witness, he demonstrated to the Tribunal that the Department’s searches in response to Mr Langker’s request were unduly restrictive and that relevant available data had not been reviewed.

The request has been remitted to the Department with a direction that further searches be undertaken.
