Media win in Court of Appeal

The plaintiff brought claims in defamation in the Supreme Court against two media organisations and the State of New South Wales. Matthew Richardson appeared for the media defendants and Sue Chrysanthou appeared for the State in obtaining an order for security for costs against the plaintiff.  They successfully resisted the plaintiff’s appeal against that order in a unanimous decision of the Court of Appeal.
