Jane Doe v Fairfax Media Publications Pty Ltd [2018] NSWSC 1996
On 21 December 2018, Fullerton J in the NSW Supreme Court gave judgment in an important media case arising from the publication of articles relating to criminal proceedings. The plaintiff alleged breach of a suppression order, breach of confidence and breach of statutory duty. The Court rejected all those claims. Peter Gray SC was leading counsel for the successful defendants, and Sue Chrysanthou was junior counsel for the plaintiff.
